KARAMUNSING – After a forced shutdown of about three and a half months during the MCO to flatten the curve of the COVID-19, St Francis Kindergarten re-opened its doors to resume class on Jul 8.
Thirty-eight children returned to school with full SOP in compliance with the restrictions imposed by the authorities for the reopening of schools.
However, there are parents who are not ready to send their children because of the uncertainty of the outbreak.
The kindergarten Headmistress, Bernadette Lo, sought to assure parents that the school has adequately prepared the SOP in strict compliance to the protocol required by the Education Ministry and Health Ministry.
The SOP include wearing face masks at all times by teachers, staff and children; having temperature scanned for all who enter the school, practicing social distancing, and regular hand-washing. To ensure that the protocol is followed, announcements are made at least three times a day on prevention tips to keep the virus at bay.
Meanwhile, the Headmistress assured parents that online classes would be provided for those who do not come to school.
Intake for the academic year 2021 for children aged 4-6 is open now. For further information, call 088-534499 (office) or 012-8662890 (Josephine Loh); or you may come and visit the school from 8am-12pm.
