First reading Acts 25:13-21

‘I ordered Paul to be remanded until I could send him to Caesar’

King Agrippa and Bernice arrived in Caesarea and paid their respects to Festus. Their visit lasted several days, and Festus put Paul’s case before the king. ‘There is a man here’ he said ‘whom Felix left behind in custody, and while I was in Jerusalem the chief priests and elders of the Jews laid information against him, demanding his condemnation. But I told them that Romans are not in the habit of surrendering any man, until the accused confronts his accusers and is given an opportunity to defend himself against the charge. So they came here with me, and I wasted no time but took my seat on the tribunal the very next day and had the man brought in. When confronted with him, his accusers did not charge him with any of the crimes I had expected; but they had some argument or other with him about their own religion and about a dead man called Jesus whom Paul alleged to be alive. Not feeling qualified to deal with questions of this sort, I asked him if he would be willing to go to Jerusalem to be tried there on this issue. But Paul put in an appeal for his case to be reserved for the judgement of the august emperor, so I ordered him to be remanded until I could send him to Caesar.’

Gospel John 21:15-19

Feed my lambs, feed my sheep

Jesus showed himself to his disciples, and after they had eaten he said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do?’ He answered, ‘Yes Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’ A second time he said to him, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ He replied, ‘Yes, Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Look after my sheep.’ Then he said to him a third time, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was upset that he asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ and said, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.

‘I tell you most solemnly,

when you were young

you put on your own belt

and walked where you liked;

but when you grow old

you will stretch out your hands,

and somebody else will put a belt round you

and take you where you would rather not go.’

In these words he indicated the kind of death by which Peter would give glory to God. After this he said, ‘Follow me.’

Reflection
Acts 25:13-21, John 21: 15-19

“Yes, Lord, I love you!”
In the past, Peter denied Jesus three times out of fear. Now, out of love, Jesus offered Peter the gift of His friendship. For Jesus, the past is always the past, and it is the present, the now that matters more. Today, Jesus personally comes to us and asks us, “Do you love me?” He does not walk away from us just because of our unfaithfulness and failures. Today and each day, He gives us a new opportunity to renew our love for Him.

Jesus loves us so much that He never ceases to trust us with the mission of taking care of His people. In the same way that He commissioned Peter to share in His work of feeding His sheep, He also entrusts us with the same mission. Today, we are shepherds to our friends, family members, colleagues, and even those with whom we cannot get along, by serving them, accompanying them to grow to know God and love Him more, feeding them with God’s love. However, we can only do so if we are in a relationship of love with Jesus our Good Shepherd. Today, Jesus asks us again, “Do you love me?”, and waits for our response.

Question for reflection:
How can I concretely express my love for Jesus today?

Kisah Para Rasul 25:13-21, Yohanes 21: 15-19

“Ya Tuhan, Aku mengasihiMu!”
Di masa lalu, Petrus pernah menyangkal Yesus sebanyak tiga kali kerana takut. Kerana kasih Yesus menawarkan karunia PersahabatanNya kepada Petrus. Bagi Yesus, masa lalu sudah berlalu, apa yang penting adalah kehidupan saat ini. Hari ini Yesus secara peribadi datang kepada kita dan bertanya, “Adakah kamu mengasihi AKu?” Yesus tidak meninggalkan kita hanya kerana ketidaksetiaan dan kegagalan kita. Hari ini dan setiap hari, Dia memberikan peluang baru kepada kita untuk memperbaharui kasih kita kepadaNya.

Yesus sangat mengasihi kita sehingga Dia tidak pernah berhenti percaya kepada kita untuk melakukan misi mengasihi orang lain. Yesus mempercayakan kepada kita misi sama yang telah diberikanNya kepada Petrus iaitu untuk turut serta dalam pekerjaanNya memberi makan domba-dombaNya. Hari ini kita adalah gembala kepada rakan-rakan kita, ahli keluarga, rakan-rakan sekerja dan bahkan mereka yang tidak dapat bergaul dengan kita, dengan melayani mereka, berjalan bersama dengan mereka agar dapat bertumbuh mengenal dan mengasihi Tuhan, memberi mereka makan dengan kasih Tuhan. Namun kita akan dapat melakukannya jika kita memiliki relasi kasih dengan Yesus Gembala Baik kita. Hari ini Yesus bertanya kepada kita sekali lagi, “Adakah kamu mengasihi AKu?”, dan menunggu jawapan dari kita.

Orou raiti’, i Jisus galama’ minatong ritakau am mangkuot ritakau, “Motogom kau kia Raki’?”_ Kalo nagiru’ Io intor ritakau sabap ayuk ra kalo gumagaya’ am kalo kasugutan takau. Orou raiti’ am moonong orou, mampataak Io ra kaluagan bagu koson manalimbagu ra togom takau Riso.
Motogom kaga’ i Jisus ritakau ginio bo ra kalo igondo’ Io longgo’ mampalansan ritakau ra misi magalung ra ulun-ulun Nano. Kereja Rasul 25:13-21; John 21:15-19

“Sigi amat Tuhan, Aku rindu ka Nuan!”
Sebedau nya, Peter udah kala nyangkal Jesus tiga kali laban iya takut. Tang, diatu ketegal pengerindu, Jesus mandangka pengerindu ngagai Peter. Bagi Jesus, udah ti udah nyadi enda ibuh di ingat agi, awak ka maya tu nya meh ti amat beguna. Saritu Jesus datai ngagai genap iko kitai lalu nanya, “kati nuan rinduka aku?” Jesus enda ninggal ka kitai taja kitai udah limpang jauh ari Iya sereta labuh dalam penyalah. Saritu sereta ninting hari Iya meri kitai peluang baru ngemaru ka pengerindu kitai enggau Iya.

Jesus rinduka kitai enggau udu dalam lalu Iya enda kala enda arap ka kitai enggau pengawa nyaga anembiak Iya. Baka Iya ti ngirum Peter awak meri pemakai ka domba Iya. Saritu, kitai meh pengibun bedus ngagai kaban belayan kitai, sida dalam bilik kitai, orang ti sama gawa enggau kitai, sereta sida ti enda dikerindu kitai mega patut di jaga kitai, ngiring ngembing sida awak ngelala Allah Taala sereta rindu ka Iya, nupi sida ngena pengerindu Iya. Kitai semina ulih ngereja semua utai tu dalam kaul pengerindu enggau Jesus ti Pengibun Bedus kitai. Saritu, Jesus nanya kitai baru, “Kati ka nuan rinduka Aku?”, lalu nganti kitai nyaut Iya.

” 是的天主，我爱你! “

以前伯多禄出于恐惧而三度拒绝了耶稣。现在，出于爱，耶稣恩赐伯多禄礼物即祂爱的友情。对于耶稣来说，过去是总是要过去，而现在，现在才是最重要的。今天，耶稣亲自来到我们身边，同样也要问我们：“你爱我吗？” 祂是不会离开我们仅仅是因为我们的不忠和失败。今天和每一天，祂给我们新的机会来更新我们对祂的爱。

耶稣如此爱我们，以至于祂永不停止相信我们会照顾祂的子民的使命。就像祂委托伯多禄一样，分享祂喂养羊群的工作，祂也委托我们相同的使命。今天，我们是我们的朋友、家人成员、同事和我们无法相处的人的牧人。我们藉着天主的爱喂养他们，服侍他们，陪伴他们成长以及认识天主并且更多的爱天主。无论如何，我们只有与我们的牧者耶稣有爱的关系才能够实现这使命。今天，耶稣再次问我们: “你爱我吗？”，然后等待我们的回应。
