INANAM – Members of the Parish Pastoral Council and all church communities organized a simple but meaningful birthday celebration for their rector, Fr David Sham at Fr Dapoz Hall here May 7. More than 200 parishioners attended the gathering in show of appreciation for the hard-working priest.
Fr David Sham turned 71 on May 5 and was still physically active. He is currently overseeing the construction of two newly approved chapels under St Catherine Parish and a reconstruction of one existing chapel each for Good Shepherd Manggatal and Holy Family Telipok.
The auspicious celebration was also attended by his three assistant priests, Fr Postinus Kurup, Fr Mattheus Lutta and Fr Sylvester Wong, who presented at least three karaoke songs to make the celebration lively.
