KOTA KINABALU – A long wait for 83 young candidates ages 10-12 years old from Sunday School Faith Formation under Sacred Heart Cathedral who attentively followed their catechism through online classes has now come to fruition.
Due to the uncertainty of the current Covid-19 pandemic and the many restrictions adhering to the current SOPs in preparation for First Holy Communion, finally on Monday 13 Dec at 7.00pm Mass, the young children received their first Holy Eucharist.
The Mass was celebrated by Fr Paul Lo, con-celebrated by Fr Joshua Liew, and witnessed by their proud parents and family members. It was a joyous moment as now the candidates can participate actively during each Holy Eucharist, a significant gift for the coming Christmas.
In his homily Rev Fr Paul Lo emphasized to the 83 candidates the importance to understand Jesus’ love for us and participate in thanksgiving to the Holy Eucharist regularly by attending Mass.
