INDIA – The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) has released a new book titled Telling the Story of Jesus in Our Context: The Synodal Way.
The book was officially launched during the 36th Plenary Assembly of the CCBI at XIM University, Bhubaneswar.
Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, President of the CCBI, unveiled the book by presenting the first copies to Archbishop George Antonysamy of Madras-Mylapore and Archbishop Anil Couto of Delhi.
The book compiles insights from renowned theologians and scholars who participated in the 34th Plenary Assembly in 2023, held in Bangalore.
It features four chapters by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-Prefect for the Dicastery for Evangelization, focusing on Synodality and its deeper implications.
Bishop Allwyn D’Silva, retired prelate of Bombay, explores the connection between Synodality and environmental stewardship, emphasizing humanity’s relationship with Mother Earth.
