Dear reader,
The Catholic Sabah made its first appearance in its modest roneo-ed form in 1951 as a weekly church bulletin in Kadazan for the Penampang Catholic Mission. Catholic Sabah could perhaps be the earliest licensed Catholic paper in Malaysia.
It was in 1971 that the paper was enlarged to tabloid size. The idea of extending the publication to state-wide coverage as a diocesan paper was mooted by a Mill Hill Missionary.
In the present time, Catholic Sabah now serving the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu, Diocese of Keningau and Diocese of Sandakan.
Alas, a lot has changed after the pandemic!
It has been financially challenging for us. Notwithstanding all the hindrances, we strive through on our mission to work on the new evangelization through our contents that spiritually inspire our community members.
