DESPITE strict SOP for all church activities during the COVID pandemic since March 2020, St Catherine continued with its RCIA programs.
This year St Catherine added to its fold 13 newly baptised church members and accepted one member from the Anglican Church into full communion with the Catholic Church on Apr 16.
All 13 Elects were baptised by parish priest Fr David Sham on Easter Vigil Night and received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Easter Sunday. This arrangement was made to ensure that the parish would not go beyond 10.00 pm as stipulated under SOP by KKM.
Under normal circumstances, RCIA facilitators would meet their respective catechumens after the homily each Sunday Mass. However, whenever not feasible to have the normal gathering, virtual meeting through Zoom would be provided.

Meanwhile, Fr Mitchelly Kiun, assistant parish priest led the youth of St Catherine Inanam on Apr 15 on the Way of the Cross. It started at 10.30am at the first station of St Catherine Church’s Grotto and ended at Bukit Lazarus in Kg Tamalang Silou Inanam which is about 2 kilometers up the hill from the Church.
