CHANCERY NOTICE
Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope Francis on 25 March 2022
On 25 March 2022 (Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord), Pope Francis will be leading the consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in communion with bishops from all over the world. He has called on the faithful around the world to join him in the prayer for peace and in the consecration and entrustment of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
In response to the invitation of the Holy Father, Most Reverend Julian Leow, Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, is requesting that all parishes in the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur make March 25th a special day of prayer for peace in Russia and Ukraine. Parishes are requested to organise a Holy Hour after the evening Way of the Cross and Mass (or any other appropriate time) so that the faithful can come together and be united in praying for peace.
For those who are not able to be present physically at the Holy Hour in their respective parishes, Archbishop Leow together with Archbishop Wojciech Załuski, the Apostolic Nuncio to Malaysia, invite you to join them for an online prayer service at 8:00 pm which will be livestreamed via https://Tv.Archkl.org from the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist, Kuala Lumpur.
May the Immaculate Heart of Mary intercede for us.
