KOTA KINABALU – Archbishop John Wong urged Catholics to go to Church now that the Church is allowed to celebrate public Masses, and said the faithful should not depend entirely on the live streaming Masses aired every Sunday.
As the season of Advent is coming soon, he called the people to prepare themselves well to welcome Jesus Christ, Saviour of the world, into their hearts and homes.
To help the people prepare for Advent, he encouraged them to recite the rosary using the “Advent Rosary Together 2020” that has been prepared by the Archdiocese (Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission).
The Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu is following their previous SOP on Church attendance whereby parishioners above 70 years and migrants are allowed to Church, meanwhile children 12 years and below should not be brought to Church.
Below are the full text of the Archbishop’s statement in three languages and the ‘Advent Rosary Together 2020’.
